The first steps to get started with Better Truckin'

Once you've signed in to Better Truckin' the first page you arrive at has a menu which helps you navigate to all parts of the service. In the image below you can see explanations for all parts of the menu and what you can expect to find on that page.

To begin working in Better Truckin' we suggest you follow our step by step process described below in four stages. Throughout the four steps we will guide you in how to create assets and manage staff as well as creating your first order and planned mission!

1. Create accounts for your staff

In the menu you'll find "Administration" and the additional headline "Staff" for inviting and managing both administrative staff and drivers. Exactly what information you need to create a new staff account and how to go through that process can be seen in the video guide here.

As a newly invited staff member your colleague needs to login with the automatically generated password they've received in their e-mail. The first time they sign in they'll be asked to choose a secure and personal password instead.

2. Create assets for your trucks, trailers and other freight carriers

Under "Administration" you'll also find "Assets" where you can add and manage assets within your organisation. All assets which you intend on using for mission planning firstly have to be added as assets here.

3. Create your first order

Once both your staff accounts and assets are in order you're ready to create your first order! Choose "Orders" in the menu followed by "New Order" to start adding order details. Once you've saved your order you have to mark it as "Ready to plan" in order for it to be visible for mission planning. A video guide of this process can be found here.

4. Plan your first mission

When your order is marked as ready to plan, you can add it to a mission in "Mission Planner" found in the menu under "Plan". On this page you can easily create a new mission, add assets and driver, and drag orders from the left into the mission.

Good job, now you are up and running! You can follow the order and mission you've created under "Monitor" in the menu.
