Introduction to network missions

Network missions are mission sent from other organization within Better Truckin' platform

Introduction

What is a network mission?

A network mission is a type of mission which is sent between different Better Truckin' organizations. Often one party (the freight forwarder) send a mission to the carrier to perform.

What are differences between a network mission and an ordinary mission?

The main differences are that in a network mission the sender and receiver (freight forwarder and carrier) are limited in which type of events they can create and what they can change in a network mission.

There are two (2) types of network missions

  1. Network mission where you as dispatcher must assign a driver (and can later on change driver as well).

  2. Network mission where the sender assigns the mission to one your shared drivers. In this case you as receiving dispatcher cannot change the driver.

In which statuses can each party change the mission?

  • Only sender can see and change the mission when the mission is in status DRAFT or PLANNED

  • In status SENT TO DRIVER (in the case the mission is sent directly to the driver and not to a dispatcher), the driver can see the mission but not change it. If the mission is sent to a dispatcher, the dispatcher can assign a driver and send the mission to the driver.

  • In status ACTIVE the sender, driver and receiver can change and add information.

  • In status SUBMITTED the sender and receiver can modify the mission, but not the driver.

  • Only the receiver can change status to COMPLETED for a network mission. In this state the mission will be locked and not possible to modify.
